• Receipt photos - Photos you optionally upload as proof of task completion. These are stored securely and only visible to members of your household.

• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the GotReceipts service
• To authenticate you and secure your account

Data Sharing

Within Your Household

Your tasks, activities, points, reactions, comments, and receipt photos are visible to other members of your household. This is core to how GotReceipts works.

Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We use the following services:

• Resend - For sending transactional emails (login codes, invitations)
• Cloudflare R2 - For secure storage of receipt images
• Apple Push Notification service - For iOS push notifications
• Railway - For hosting our backend services

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, please contact us at theomjones@gmail.com.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Passwordless authentication (passkeys, email codes) - we do not store passwords
• Session management and automatic expiration

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the service to function:

• Session cookies - To keep you logged in and maintain your session. These are essential for authentication and expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

Children's Privacy & Safety

GotReceipts is designed for household use. In accordance with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (the "Children's Code"), we prioritize the privacy and safety of all users, particularly those under 18.

Age Requirements

Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If a parent or guardian chooses to involve children under 13 in household chores through this app, they should do so under direct supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent via the household invite system.

Safety by Design

• Private by Default - Your data, photos, and comments are never visible to the public or users outside your specific household.
• No Public Search - There is no directory to search for users. Users can only join a household via a direct, private invitation.
• No Tracking - We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, ensuring a neutral environment for children.

Parental Controls

Parents/Guardians can request the deletion of a child's data or account at any time by contacting us at theomjones@gmail.com.

Code of Conduct

All users of GotReceipts are required to follow our Code of Conduct. We strictly prohibit the upload of illegal, explicit, or harmful content. Because visibility is limited to your household, users are responsible for maintaining a respectful environment.
