Account & Access

Can I be in multiple households?

Yes — you can be in multiple households, you can switch between them in the app within Settings.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. You can also visit gotreceipts.lol/delete-account.

Can I use GotReceipts without the mobile app?

Yes! The web app at gotreceipts.lol has full functionality, it works on Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet.


Tasks & Activities

Can I edit or delete an activity after logging it?

Yes. Tap on any activity to view details, then use the menu to edit or delete it. Deleted activities remove the points from your total.

Can I change point values for tasks?

Yes. Go to Settings → Tasks, select the task, and update the points. This only affects future activities — past ones keep their original points.

What counts as "proof"?

Anything you want! Photos are optional. Some households require them for higher-point tasks, others don't bother. Set your own house rules.


Leaderboard & Points

When does the leaderboard reset?

Weekly, at midnight on Monday (in your local timezone). You can see all-time stats in your profile.

What happens to my points if I leave a household?

Your activity history stays with you, but you won't appear on that household's leaderboard anymore. If you join a new household, you start fresh there.

What if someone's gaming the system?

Talk to them! GotReceipts works best when everyone agrees the points are fair. You can adjust task values anytime if something feels off.


Badges & Streaks

How do streaks work?

Complete at least one task per day to keep your streak going. Miss a day and it resets to zero. Streaks are based on your local timezone.

Are there secret badges?

Maybe. 👀


Privacy & Data

Who can see my activities?

Only members of your household. Nothing is public. Photos, reactions, and comments are all private to your household.

Is my data sold to advertisers?

No. We don't sell data or show ads. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I export my data?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. Contact us if you need your data exported.


Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving push notifications

  1. Check your device allows notifications for GotReceipts
  2. Check in-app settings at Settings → Notifications
  3. Try signing out and back in

The app isn't loading

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try closing and reopening the app
  3. Clear the app cache or reinstall

I forgot which email I used

Try the emails you commonly use. We'll tell you if an account exists when you request a login code.
